1About CatholicCompanionOS
CatholicCompanionOS is an integrated technology platform under active development for Catholic individuals, families, parishes, schools, dioceses, ministries, vendors, and other organizations. These Terms govern access to CatholicCompanionOS.com and related public websites that link to these Terms (the "Website").
2Acceptance
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website. Additional terms may govern accounts, pilots, subscriptions, institutional services, marketplace services, cloud services, or other products.
3Development Status
Features, screenshots, demonstrations, prototypes, architecture, interfaces, specifications, availability dates, and descriptions may change without notice. Features may be under development, limited to internal testing or pilots, materially changed, temporarily unavailable, discontinued, or never released in their currently described form. Nothing on the Website guarantees future commercial availability.
4No Certification or Regulatory Claims
Unless CatholicCompanionOS expressly states otherwise and provides appropriate supporting documentation, descriptions of security, privacy, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, governance, testing, or planned compliance measures do not represent that CatholicCompanionOS has obtained a governmental approval, independent security certification, SOC 2 report, ISO certification, regulatory accreditation, or similar credential.
5Permitted Use and Prohibited Conduct
You may use the Website for lawful informational and business purposes. You may not gain unauthorized access; bypass authentication or security controls; probe, scan, or test systems without authorization; introduce malicious code; disrupt service; scrape or extract data in a manner that materially harms the service or violates rights; impersonate another person or organization; use the Website unlawfully; or use CatholicCompanionOS intellectual property in a misleading or unauthorized way. Authorized security testing performed under written authorization is not prohibited by this section.
6Accounts and Institutional Services
Some services may require an account and additional terms. Institutional services may require an MSA, DPA, student-data addendum, order form, pilot agreement, or other written agreement. These Website Terms alone do not create an institutional service commitment.
7Minors
The current public Website is not intended to collect personal information directly from children under 13. Future services involving minors may be subject to age eligibility, parental or guardian authorization, institutional controls, additional notices, and specialized safeguards.
8Artificial Intelligence and Lux
Lux and other AI-assisted features may produce incomplete or inaccurate output. AI should not be treated as a substitute for required human judgment or professional, legal, medical, financial, educational, canonical, sacramental, or pastoral advice. CatholicCompanionOS may restrict AI capabilities for minors, sensitive information, or consequential actions.
9Catholic and Religious Content
CatholicCompanionOS is a technology platform. Unless expressly established through appropriate ecclesiastical authorization, it does not claim to exercise the authority of a parish, diocese, bishop, tribunal, school, religious institute, or other ecclesiastical authority. Technology and informational content do not replace appropriate clergy, diocesan officials, canon lawyers, educators, or other authorized Church personnel.
10Intellectual Property
CatholicCompanionOS retains its rights in its software, architecture, designs, interfaces, documentation, APIs, trademarks, workflows, original content, and other proprietary technology, subject to third-party rights and licenses. These Terms do not transfer ownership to Website users. Third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners' rights.
11Feedback
If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or feedback, you authorize CatholicCompanionOS to use that feedback to evaluate, develop, improve, and operate its products without an obligation to compensate you, subject to applicable law. This does not transfer ownership of unrelated intellectual property clearly identified as your confidential or proprietary material.
12Third-Party Services
CatholicCompanionOS may rely on or integrate with third-party services. Independent third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies and may change outside our control.
13Payments and Marketplace
Future services may include subscriptions, donations, purchases, marketplace transactions, vendor services, or other payment functionality. Additional transaction, refund, seller, tax, payment-provider, and marketplace terms may apply. Development descriptions do not mean such services are currently available.
14Availability
CatholicCompanionOS may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the Website. Development-stage services may experience interruptions or changes. No service-level or uptime commitment applies unless expressly agreed in writing.
15Disclaimer
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WEBSITE AND DEVELOPMENT-STAGE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." CATHOLICCOMPANIONOS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THEY WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR SUITABLE FOR EVERY PURPOSE. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
16Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CATHOLICCOMPANIONOS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PUBLIC WEBSITE. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, and nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
17Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the Website or material violation of these Terms. This provision does not apply where prohibited by law.
18Privacy
Use of the Website is also subject to the CatholicCompanionOS Privacy Policy.
19Changes
CatholicCompanionOS may update these Terms as the Website and platform develop. The Last Updated date identifies the current version.
20Governing Law
Unless applicable law requires otherwise or a separate signed agreement provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
